The Floralarm by Tilde Asterisk ~* is a plant watering alarm. It uses a moisture sensor and a small speaker to generate a chirp sound when it detects that the soil is dry. A button on the Floralarm is used to calibrate the level.

Description:

This is an alarm that tells you when your plant soil is ready to be watered. The alarm will not be an annoyance. It will not ring when it's dark, restricting itself from making too much noise.

The Floralarm ~* uses capacitive humidity sensing as opposed to resistive humidity sensing, this means, it does not make an electric contact with the soil, avoiding electrode corrosion and soil electrolysis and resulting in better accuracy and longer battery life.

The alarm level can be set for each plant individually. As water is consumed by the plant, Floralarm ~* will detect the low moisture level and will start to emit rare short chirps. As more water evaporates, Floralarm ~* will increase the alarm rate. Floralarm ~* can detect if it's day or night by measuring the amount of ambient light and will not make noise when it's dark.

Directions:

Put the pointed side into the soil near the plant. The Floralarm ~* will emit a chirping sound when it detects that the soil is dry, reminding you to water the plant.
